Why We Need Donations

Although Movie Nation Festivals, LLC is organized as a Limited Liability Company with the intent of making a profit, meaning we do not have 501(c) 3 status (non-profit organization status), we are still a fledgling organization that needs to raise money in order to thrive. Unlike your typical company we do not have products to sell beyond the t-shirts, posters and DVDs available at our festivals and online at our Web site. Your donations are used for advertising for the festival, printing, consumable office supplies, equipment rentals, non-payroll related operating overhead and gasoline.

If you are interested in the art form that is filmmaking, particularly the genres that we are celebrating at Movie Nation Festivals, then we welcome you to participate in any way that you can. Your financial support is greatly needed and can come in so many ways. You could purchase one of our growing number of products from the Web site or at one of our live events or you could make a small donation. Every little bit helps and no amount is too small. Please consider this the next time you are frivolously tossing around money like a drunken pirate. Yes, we are trying to make you chuckle; and yes, we’re serious. Think about it, we need all the help we can get.
