Attention Full-Time College Students:

Do you love Science Fiction? Do you love Horror? Do you love the other subgenres that go with them? Are you looking for a place to showcase your filmmaking talent? Then have we got a festival for you!

Movie Nation Festivals is an exciting, new organization dedicated to putting on film festivals that embrace the escapist genres of Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror and the Supernatural. You know, the kind of stuff the rest of us are interested in.

Our inaugural event: The 2005 Festival of Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror & the Supernatural is a five-day extravaganza devoted to showcasing the best new movies in the combined genres listed above. Both students and independent filmmakers alike, from within the United States and across the globe will submit their movies for this competition. Imagine an opportunity to compete head-to-head with other student filmmakers for prizes, fame and bragging rights without having to compete with some stuffy documentary or yet another boring, predictable love story.

Eligibility Requirements

You must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited school or you must have been a student when the project was completed (and the project must have been completed in 2004 or 2005) and you must have graduated sometime between the Fall semester of 2004 and anytime during 2005.

There is no age limit here; however, you cannot have been a professional filmmaker or animator at any time, even while being in school. Contact us via e-mail (listed below) for further clarification.

You can be an intern at a professional animation or film production company but not an employee.

Individuals, classes, and/or school clubs are welcome to enter.

Employees, spouses, and immediate family members of Harbinger Media, Containment Field, Scare Tactics F/X, Blast Radius, Movie Nation Festivals, and/or your school, as well as employees of the city of Las Vegas, and any of Movie Nation Festivals’ Sponsors and Advertisers are not eligible.
